As well as rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in need, we also offer veterinary/financial assistance to help local animals and their owners.

Welfare assistance

You must be in receipt of means-tested benefits and live in one of the following postcode areas to use our Welfare Clinic, or apply for financial assistance:

We have a limited amount of funds available to help pet owners on means-tested benefits with unforeseen veterinary bills.

Unfortunately we are unable to assist with bills relating to procedures that have already taken place prior to the owner contacting us.

Neutering vouchers

Available from our clinic (except bank holidays)

Dogs

Dog neutering vouchers cover a full cost spay or castrate for any size dog, the cost depends on both size and sex of the dog. The branch helps fund the balance paid to the vets. Designated vets only.

 

Please bring your dog in to be weighed prior to buying a voucher.

 

Male over 40KG – £223

 

Male 20KG to 40KG – £175

 

Male up to 20KG- £128

 

Female over 40KG- £348

 

Female 20KG to 40KG- £288

 

Female up to 20KG- £226

Cats

Cat neutering vouchers are available for people who live in our branch area and who are in receipt of means tested benefits.

 

£93 for a female and £70 for a male. Pregnant/Midline £128.

These can be purchased from our welfare clinic at 12a Longs Industrial, you will need to bring along your proof of benefits. Please note neutering can only be done at certain vet practices, this will be discussed with you at the time of purchase.

 

Vouchers can also be purchased through cats protection, please call their main neutering line on 03000 12 12 12 (option 2)

Rabbits

Rabbit neutering vouchers are available for people who live in our branch area and who are in receipt of means tested benefits. 

£93 for female and £ for a male. Please note, if there are any complications during neutering the additional amount will be chargeable to the owner.
